Philip T. Chwee is a Senior Associate Attorney at the Law Office of Usman B. Ahmad. Mr. Chwee leads and mentors a team of associate attorneys and support staff. Philip and his team have successfully litigated complex cases involving, asylum, withholding of removal, relief under the Convention against Torture, and cancellation of removal before Immigration Judges across the United States.
In addition, Mr. Chwee manages the firm’s federal litigation docket, including petitions for review of Board of Immigration Appeals decisions and petitions for writ of mandamus relief and habeas corpus relief. Since 2018, Philip has presented at the New York Asylum Conference on complex issues, such as the material support bar and the persecutor bar.
Outside the office, Philip enjoys traveling, trying new food, and bodybuilding.
